I just returned from Mexico and Akumal is the only place we vrnuteed off the resort to. Of all the places to go snorkeling I chose this just to see the tutrtles. What an amazing moment it was for me. We snorkeled for almost 3 full hours and saw about a dozen turtles within 5 ft from us! You could actually reach out and touch them although it is not allowed and the turtles are very protected around there. I want to go back with a high def water camera next time.
